I saw a recent 1-star review which really doesn’t do this café justice. Yes, they were short staffed when I visited, but the food was still delicious – fresh, generous portions and the thick cut bacon is always a highlight of mine! A special shout out to the young lad who was holding the fort on his own, dealing calmly and politely with some very unfair customers. He did brilliantly under pressure. This is a friendly, local café that deserves support, not criticism – please don’t let one difficult day put you off this little gem.

Outstanding food; outstanding welcome and service. My gyros was really tasty, fresh and reasonably priced. The welcome on arrival was also really warm, despite staff looking busy. A lovely spot.

Needed somewhere for lunch and this Cafe didn’t disappoint. My wife and I both had a sandwich and drink. Ham, cheese and tomato and egg mayo Bottled water and americano for less than £12. The menu had a lot more on from full English to omelettes, toasties, pizza etc. I am a tourist but love to support the local trades, give them a try. You won’t be disappointed. All great value and great quality made fresh on the premises.

I got takeaway from here to try it out, as I'm sick of there only being kebabs and pizzas to order in the area. I got a marg pizza, beef giros, and loaded fries. I will 100 percent order this again. The beef was so tender and beautifully cooked and seasoned, the salad and coleslaw were so fresh I wouldn't be surprised if they grew it themselves. The bread on this was so fresh and chewy, and so thick! I split everything with my bf and we were both stuffed. The pizza base is delicious, best in town, the tomato sauce is also really nice. Generally I hate it but the flavour of it is like nothing else. Lastly the loaded fries, the pepperoni was CRISPY! Usually with loaded fires its just sort of chucked on, but they were crispy, the onions were so flavourful, the chips were cooked to perfection (and are those V shaped chips too so extra crisp!). They had cheese and (i think) a cheese sauce, if it was a sauce I'd like more of it! There was also LOADS of cheese. Really impressed and I think I've found my new regular takeaway. Prices are old school prices. 5er for a big box of loaded fries (newhaven kebab charge 7.50 for a cheesy chips), 9 quid for a pizza that was ACTUALLY decent sized, and 11 for the beef giros which I'm 99 percent sure was a steak chopped up. 10/10.

Lovely, a d from our perception, a family run outfit? Food made freshly to order, so expect to wait around 10mins for your food to arrive. Sandwiches we had were presently nicely and delicious. There was an incident where i knocked my entire drink over, and they replaced it without charge or quibble (i'm more than fine paying for my own clumsiness!), i apologised for mess i made and felt obigated to clear it up myself. It was met with light humour and no drama or further embarrassment to me. Your selection of beverages and spirits i saw behind the counter showed the good taste you have. Excellent people and service.
